What inspired you to enter the industry?
I was looking for a career that would give me the freedom to help people achieve their goals as business owners.
Who is your mentor?
My first boss, Barry Noble, made a significant impact on my work ethic
What are some things that people don’t know about you?
I’m fairly handy around the house having restored 2 heritage homes – one in Toronto and one here in Saint John.
What is the biggest lessons that you have learned in the business?
It is imperative that you always continue to drive value for your customers. Be an expert.
Do you have insights about the industry that you would like to share?
I believe that the days of the “general practitioner” Advisor are behind us. Group Benefits is an area that requires specific expertise to ensure clients are not exposed to undue risk. I will continue to lobby for specific licensing criteria that support the specialist approach.
