This week we’re learning more about Buffy Mills of CapriCMW.
What inspired you to enter the industry?
I have always worked in the Indigenous Wellness space and CapriCMW provided me with the opportunity to continue to do what I love – Working to improve the health and wellness of Indigenous People. Its soul nourishing remarkable work.
Who is your mentor?
In the industry, I have 2 mentors. Steve Hesketh and Chantell Arsenault. Steve has so much experience balanced with care. He is highly motivated to do what is right for clients. Chantell inspires me to work harder. She has great drive and energy.
What are some things that people don’t know about you?
I recently retired from playing Rugby.
What is the biggest lesson that you have learned in the business?
The very personal investment of caring and doing what is right matters!
Do you have insights about the industry that you would like to share?
I am concerned about the lack of Indigenous representation in the industry. Indigenous communities are growing economically and so too is the demand for Indigenous subject matter experts. We need to do more to attract Indigenous talent to the industry.
