As the rates and severity of mental health symptoms continue to trend high across Canada, it is no surprise that disability claims are also on the rise. Many employers are now recognizing the problem and looking for innovative and effective solutions. EAPs are designed to support the employee with mild symptoms only, and most benefits packages today do not cover the right treatments that get employees back to work. This session will review the differences between mild, moderate and severe mental health conditions, how they show up in the workplace, and what treatment programs work best.
We will also dive into Mental Health Connect, a new virtual solution from EHN Canada that makes proven intensive treatment both affordable and accessible, and can help employers effectively reduce and prevent disability costs.
