This week we’re learning more about Kristy Campbell at Homewood Health

Who do you work with?

Homewood Health

Where in Canada are you based?

I am home based in Airdrie, Alberta. Just 20 minutes north of Calgary.

Please introduce yourself in 10 words or less.

Healthy mind and body, collaboration, and communication are my pillars

What is your favourite part of your job?

Meeting new people, finding hidden gem coffee shops to discuss issues and finding solutions, connecting over shared experiences or interests, and helping people to lead healthier lives. Feel free to send me any great recipes you have too!

How do you define success?

I define success as making a difference in a person’s life. This is done through honesty, integrity, humility, communication and continuous improvement. A win for me is hearing how our solutions have have helped to create a healthier and more productive work environment where employees flourish.

What are the biggest challenges to being an entrepreneur?

Balancing working in the business to grow revenue vs working on the business for sustainable revenue

How do you manage work/life balance?

I am very lucky to work from home, permanently. When I’m not having lunch meetings I take the opportunity to walk my dog, work out, do a load of laundry, go to the grocery store, or do whatever else needs to be taken care of. My family is very active and that helps us to all stay healthy mentally as well – I am a true believer in the mind body connection! I also figure skate on an adult synchronized skating team. This is something that I have done since I was 7 years old. Ask me about it and I promise you that I will light up!

What books/resources do you recommend that every business person should check out?

Sand Talk: How Indigenous Thinking Can Save the World – By Tyson

If your friends/family/colleagues were to give you an award, what would it be for?

I would like to think my award would be for ‘Greatest Stories’. I live my life with the intention of having the best stories at the end.

If someone would make a documentary about you, what would be the title?

‘Living One Chapter at a Time – Embracing Change’
