How did you get started in the group business?
Succession of family business. Founded in 1998 by Mike Owen. Steven came home to Ontario in 2016 after studying Business and working at KPMG in BC. Took over completely in 2021. Have grown the company from 12 employees to 45.

Share with us a particular moment that made you proud to be an advisor.
I was recently visiting a major client in San Francisco area who had new HR/Benefits management team member that we had worked with at three previous companies. Their feedback when reviewing benefit consultants in over 30 countries was “When we got to Canada and saw Owen & Associates was handling our programs, I knew everything would be in good order”
What was your main reason for wanting to join BA?

What excites you most about your new BA membership?
The people I will get to spend time with.
What are your goals for the next year?
Manage ongoing growth (over 20% YTD Fiscal), implement benefits administration system, implement project management tool, develop and enhance partnerships, identify and improve operational efficiencies, and develop our team

Building trust, solving problems, and creating value.
