What inspired you to enter the industry?
It was a chance to connect with, and help people, on a more personal level as well as the opportunity to work with data/numbers.
Who is your mentor?
My dad has always been there to guide and encourage me in anything I do in life. As for work, my mentor is Gianluca Spirito, Senior Benefits Consultant, for the way he maintains excellent customer relations, and how he’s constantly pushing to be better in skill & knowledge of industry.
What are some things that people don’t know about you?
I have an OFSAA Track & Field gold medal in Triple Jump!
What are the biggest lessons that you have learned in the business?
The industry is constantly evolving and you need to stay up-to-date with current local and global events.
Do you have insights about the industry that you would like to share?
Group Benefits will always be a need, but the types of benefits and level of coverage needed is changing. Mental health services and options to add additional coverage to better meet the personal or financial objectives of the individual member are among the fastest growing categories. Technology is also a key factor in member engagement and carriers need to keep-up to attract the demographic moving into the workforce.
